A full gutter is more than a mess. Once water can’t get through, it goes over the edge and finds the weakest spot on the house.
Overflow onto the foundation
Water spills over the front of a clogged gutter and lands along the foundation, where it can find its way into the basement.
Wet, rotting fascia
Packed debris holds moisture against the back of the gutter and the fascia board, which softens the wood over time.
Extra weight on the hangers
Wet leaves and standing water are heavy. That weight pulls on the hangers and can start a sag.

The Celtic Way: clean it, then follow the water
Scooping leaves out of a gutter is the easy part. We also look at why it clogged and whether anything else on the system needs attention.
- Clear the gutters by hand. Leaves, seeds, needles and grit come out of every run, and the debris is bagged and taken away.
- Flush the downspouts. We run water through each downspout to make sure it drains freely, and clear any blockage we find.
- Inspect the whole system. Seams, hangers, pitch, fascia and downspout discharge are checked while we’re on the ladder.
- Report what we saw. You get a plain account of anything that needs attention. No repair goes ahead without your say-so.

How the seasonal plan works. Most people mean to clean their gutters every fall and spring, then the season gets away from them. On the plan, that’s our job. We set your cleanings around the times debris builds up and put you on our calendar each season. You don’t need to call, book or remember. Each visit includes the same clean-out and inspection, so small issues get spotted before they turn into repairs.
Why we inspect instead of just cleaning. A gutter that clogs in the same spot every time is telling you something. It may be a pitch problem, an undersized outlet or heavy tree cover. If we see a pattern, we’ll tell you, and point you to the fix, whether that’s gutter repair, guards or simply keeping the schedule.

How often should gutters be cleaned in Indianapolis?

No. Once you’re on the plan, we put you on the calendar each season and come out. You don’t have to remember or book anything.

If I get gutter guards, do I still need cleaning?
Less often, but yes. Guards keep most debris out, but fine material can collect on top and downspouts still benefit from a check. Many homeowners with guards keep a lighter maintenance schedule.
